Events: Multiple Tenant Events Over a 7 Year Period

Client Objectives

The primary client objectives include tenant satisfaction, tenant retention and company hospitality.

Our client approached us initially with the goal of creating a fun series of events to mitigate the inconvenience to tenants during the renovation of the building’s lobby. Following the success of the initial project, the client hired Skyline to design two annual public concert series, an annual summer picnic and an annual holiday party over a seven-year period.

Skyline Recommendations

The client’s first project was to create a fun experience to offset the daily inconvenience of walking through a lobby under renovation. Skyline created “The Mom Patrol,” a group of professional actresses costumed like exaggerated stereotypes of middle-aged ‘moms” from the 1950s. Our talented crew passed out free gifts to tenants, such as shoe polishing kits, to address the situation with humor. The project took place over a year and was a huge hit.

Other projects were designed specifically for the intended audience.

The outdoor concert series were designed to attract positive public visibility for the property while attracting potential tenants.

Private social events, summer picnics and holiday parties, were designed as amenities to show customer appreciation and to strengthen tenant retention.

Skyline’s Concept-to-Completion Services

Concepts and project designs for some 38 events for 300 to several thousand attendees (per event.)

• Developed all event budgets for client’s approval.
• Designed and implemented promotional campaigns.
• Wrote and distributed publicity releases at client’s direction (for the public events).
• Contracted and supervised technical production & rentals (sound, stage lighting, generators, tents, furnishings, etc.).
• Created site design and décor.
• Contracted, scheduled and managed talent.
• Managed each event.
• Wrote event scripts as needed.
• Managed budgets and paid all talent and suppliers.
• Recommended and procured promotional give-away items.
• Created menus and contracted and supervised catering.

Results

Our client won an award for their renovation project and thanked us for Skyline’s role. They then hired Skyline to create and implement all their tenant events for as long as they managed the property.
