Erica Sodos Bio:

After receiving her B.A. in theater from SUNY Oswego and with the hopes of achieving a successful acting career Erica and her VW bus moved to San Francisco in 1991. Within six months of landing in San Francisco Erica became part of a Clown troupe. After two years she left the troupe and began her quest pursuing the art of a Clown, which led her to classes at the Dell Arte School for Physical Theater, San Francisco Circus School and Wavy Gravy’s Camp Winnarainbow.

All during the many roads that Erica’s life has led her on she continues to remain faithful to her deep love of acting. She has performed in numerous productions including dramas, musical comedy and children’s theatre. In 2002 she got to combine her love of acting AND her love of clowning when she played the Clown Costard in Loves Labors Lost at the Valley Shakespeare Festival. Erica also loves to create theater solo and with others. Her performance collaborations include large scale puppet shows, dance pieces and ritual events. She toured California with Nothing is Sacred, her original solo musical comedy for adults. Since moving to Colorado Erica starred as Truvy in Steel Magnolias, performed her solo show Nothing is Sacred in the Boulder Fringe Festival and attended the summer intensive 2006 in acting at the Denver Center of Performing Arts. Erica has been sharing her extensive experience with children and adults for over 16 years through leading workshops, teaching, writing and directing. She teaches privately as well as in schools and after school programs.
